A National Level Admission Test, Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an online computer-based test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), India. It facilitates institutions to select appropriate students for admittance in all management programs approved under AICTE.

CMAT inculcates a three-hour test. It is likely that the test is conducted over a period of some days and is held in two shifts. If it is so decided for 2021 as well, as it was in 2012, it will be the same all over India.

The question paper consists of four sections and these sub-divisions are NOT liable to change:

• Quantitative technique
• Logical reasoning
• Language Comprehension/Verbal Ability
• General Awareness

THERE ARE 25 QUESTIONS IN EACH SECTION. WHILE EACH CORRECT ANSWER CARRIES FOUR MARKS, EACH WRONG ANSWER WILL CARRY ONE NEGATIVE MARKING. HENCE, IT IS ADVISABLE TO LEAVE A QUESTION UNANSWERED WHEN IN DOUBT.

AICTE has certified the qualification criteria abiding to which an applicant may appear for CMAT. It must be guaranteed that the applicants must fulfill the eligibility criteria of CMAT, before filling the application form. Non-fulfillment of the same may lead to disqualification of the candidate irrespective of the stage of admission an applicant will hold. The qualification standards are mentioned below:
